We just implemented a <PANIC> button. Now, after clicking the <POST> button, you'll have five (5) seconds to hit the <PANIC> button and stop the tweet from going out. We think this feature will be particularly handy for those who's fingers talk faster than their brains! No more: OOPS! or $!#*, I shouldn't have sent that!
Sometime today, ezTweets past the 500 "unique" visitors mark! :))
The new web design is up and runnig. Now a few minor fixes and changes!
Today I reviewed and accepted a bid from RAC to have the entire ezTweets website re-designed... it should be up by the end of the week! SO EXCITED!
You can now use Twitter's OAuth and Facebook Connect to log in to ezTweets!
The NEW functionality is up and running. Now ezTweets fully supports multi-part tweets for D (direct), RT (re-tweet) and @ (replies). It also supports multi-parts status updates to Facebook!
Just accepted a bid through RAC to add some new functionality. Very soon ezTweets will be able to: support @, RT and D tweets. Post multi-part status updates to Facebook and use Twitter's new OAuth system.
We just got picked up by our first "foreign" review site TwittoSphere. Read more here. Please comment!
ezTweets was just featured at Tweetdom. Here's the posting, and please don't forget to vote!
Yesterday we saw our single-day BIGGEST jump in visitor after being promoted on StumbleUpon - 241 unique visitors!
We added a "signature" to the end of the LAST tweet-split: "-- tweeted from www.ezTweets.com"
New logo is up. Not crazy about it, but much better and fun than the first one! Also, making changes to background and font colors.
We removed the tweet length limit. Now you can tweet as many characters as you want to and have them properly split and marked!!!
Fixed CSS not being read problem on the ERROR pages. For some reason, it wants literal URLs rather than relative ones... Oh well, all is good now!
Uploaded the new UI. A few glitches with the ERROR pages not reading the CSS file... need to look into it!
Working on a complete UI redesign. Hoping to have the new look up and running by the end of the week.
We got written up on KillerStartUps.com. Read more...and please VOTE for us!
Writing an FSR (Functional Specification Requirements) for some new features for the site and looking to outsource the development.
Just making a few minor edits to the site and submitting ezTweets info to KillerStartUps.com!
Starting to implement Twitter's new authentication system (OAuth). Hope to have it up and running within the next week. Also starting to test <description> and <keywords> for the META tag.
Today we started to promote ezTweets to the world. Posting announcements on LinkedIn groups, emailing all our contacts and trying to get an introduction to Pete Cashmore of Mashable.com.
Started to work on the graphics for the top navigation bar! Hope to have it done by the end of the week. For the time being, we'll use a text/link basic one.
Adding the ability to select the order in which the tweets are posted (1/2 - 2/2 or 2/2 - 1/2).
Just applied for Google AdSense, but not sure that I want to put those ugly adds on the home page. I've also added Google Analytics tracking script... now hopefully we'll start seeing some traffic!
Created an account and added the GetSatisfaction widget to the site.
We added error handling to the Python script. Now to design the error pages!
Spent the day trying to figure out the CSS code for three columns. The old code works but the problem is when the user makes the browser window smaller and the "ad" columns move over the main layer. If you want/can help me figure this out, please contact me!
Created a PayPal account and designed the donations page.
Re-designing some of the layout and trying to figure out some CSS. Added two layers (left & right) to the index.html where we can place ads. Still have to figure out the right sizes and how much we should charge for monthly rates.
The hosting package is alive... Starting to transfer files from my blog's server to ezTweets new server.
Eztweets.com is available so we are going with it!
We finally figured out the HTML and Python script. We needed to add a "blank" PRINT line and declare the HTML type! Woohoo... progress.
Trying to figure out how to print out an HTML page from our Python script. Search all over the web and can't find a solution... frustrated!
We have a basic site with some basic functionality which I'm running from my blog's server. Did some testing and the tweets are getting posted to Twitter and split into two. Wanted to get eztweet.com but it's "parked" (I really hate parked domains!). Looking for a .com domain that's available.
Found a developer to help me out to put the basic code for the site together... thinking of names but can't find of anything worth using with a .com domain available!
I've been using Twitter for a few months now and I love the system but get, at times, a little frustrated when, no matter how hard I try, I can't get my tweet down to 140 characters. So, today the idea for ezTweets starts to come together. Just need to find someone who can write the code!
